The 6265 is the screw-down-pusher Daytona with a steel tachymeter bezel, made until 1987. Standard dials are far more common than exotic “Paul Newman” dials, which command many times more.
Who it’s for
Chronograph fans and collectors who want Rolex’s most famous sports watch.
Buying tips
- Dial variants can change the price dramatically. Confirm the exact dial before you buy.
- Make sure the chronograph starts, stops and resets cleanly and the pushers screw down.
- Daytonas are a top target for counterfeits and swapped parts. Use authentication.
